"They're Big Hits with Students and Staff!"
Presentations are adapted to K-12 learning levels, and prior
to each showing teachers are invited to identify curriculum
links of special interest. Autographed bookmarks are
available for purchase after an always-lively Q&A session.
We begin with headline news about the discovery of
feathered dinosaur fossils in modern China! Then students
take off in an imaginary time machine. To consider the
grand scale of prehistoric time, we make a quick stop in the
Ice Ages with spear chuckers, woolly mammoths and other
gigantic cousins of modern mammals. But our time trip is
soon back on track and full throttle into the Jurassic Era.
Elementary Subplot

How did dragonflies, turtles, crocodiles, praying mantises,
salamanders and frogs survive to live into modern times, as
giants from the Jurassic Era and the Ice Ages went extinct?
Middle Grade Subplot

What was the purpose of ancient dragon legends? To
explain dinosaur fossils unearthed by medieval farmers, or
to scare explorers away from the king's secret trade routes?
All audiences discover an incredible diversity of wildlife,
from dinosaurs (including some with feathers) to reptiles,
birds, amphibians and insects they recognize from outings
back home. Invite Buck and Diana to visit your school to
explore primordial times and ponder dinosaur connections
that "spark student enthusiasm for learning".
Diana addresses methods and roles of communications
among Jurassic as well as modern creatures. Students learn
how facial expressions, body postures and subtle gestures
are used by many animals to "speak what's on wild minds".
Buck explains how a successful species must adapt in order
to survive ever-changing times. He also introduces "new
science" and "ancient dragon tales" that raise interesting
questions about the distant past, as well as the near future.
Prior to our visit and again before each showing, teachers
are invited to identify curriculum links of special interest.
Autographed bookmarks are available to students after our
always-lively Q&A sessions. Ask about bulk purchasing.
