The swamp and marsh are alive morning, noon and night with
all kinds of wild things. Students play Biodiversity Counts and
The Web of Life to see how wetlands function as an ecosystem.

In the woods, elusive creatures live up in lofty canopies, inside
hollow trees and amidst thickets. Kids hear them first, playing
Shadowed Niches to see how species fit into a forest ecosystem.

  Student

A grizzly mother teaches her cubs new skills everyday. Kids go
into the Alaska wilderness to discover how bears catch salmon,
find the best greens, dig clams, pick berries and Play Like a Bear.
With recent discoveries of feathered dinosaurs in China, birds are
being called 'modern dinosaurs'. Kids play Jurassic Survivors
comparing modern species to ancestors from the Age of Dinosaurs.

Contact Buck and Diana Wilde, Ph.D. Education to schedule school assemblies, author
school visits, school shows or workshops in nonfiction writing, nature photography
and art therapy, as well as the popular 'Young Author Luncheon'. Teachers can also
select specific curriculum correlations of interest in reading, nonfiction writing and
science for emphasis in school assemblies or in-class presentations and workshops.
Their author school visits reach over 25,000 students a year from coast to coast.

Educators call them "the best presenters yet" with dynamic storytelling and
captivating images for kids to take an entertaining look at nature and themselves.
They are a perfect team for school assemblies as wildlife photographers and authors
published by Scholastic and McGraw-Hill. Buck is a naturalist featured in life science
programs and adventure documentaries narrated by David Attenborough of the BBC.
Diana has twenty years of experience as a classroom teacher and behavior specialist.

They also present at PTAs, YMCAs, libraries and education conferences about their
amazing outdoor adventures with "curious connections to nature and human nature"
Their aim here is to motivate kids to trade some 'screen time' for more 'green time'.

To inspire 'creative connections to nature', their Nonfiction Challenge invites students
across the country to submit grade-level entrees in nature writing as well as colored
art drawing submissions to be published on-line and in the authors' next book series.
